world of warcraft and girls
February 16, 2006I’m sitting at college, in the cafe, on my laptop utilizing the wireless internet. I’m at a table with 5 other “computer engineering” types (if you know what I mean) and the whole time they’ve been watching silly cartoons and doing their own southpark parodies, they even threw in a Star Wars kid video here and there. So I found them quite amusing, giggling as something started playing that I was familiar with.
I guess I don’t know how to say this without being egotistical…so don’t take this the wrong way. I’m probably not the type of girl these guys would think would be discussing Warcraft with them. I’ll just say that much.
So I look over, and the guy next to me is playing World of Warcraft. I say, “hey, what server do you play on?” He ignores me, but the other 4 guys look over at me with this blank stare. They nudged him under the table and said…”hey dude, she asked you what server you play on!” He looks over at me and says…”um…WHY?” At this point I couldn’t tell if he was being a smartass to show off in front of his friends, or he was just plain rude. So I gave him the ol’ “allllllrighty then” look, and went about my business. Just then, I saw 2 of the guys high-five eachother under the table….WTF !? I think I found the fight club of WOW.
